The Bootcut Tea Bowl is a tall, medium size tea bowl (chawan) traditionally used for drinking matcha. The matte, red exterior and tall walls create a uniquely boot-like shape and image. This may be the most American tea bowl yet. It’s tall sides mean there will be very little mess while whipping your matcha to a good froth and that it can be used as a large tea cup for other brews.
The body of the Bootcut Tea Bowl is high fire red stoneware with a matte rust red exterior and a blue and white semi-gloss interior. It’s got a nice, weighted feel with a thick foot and a can-do attitude.
