FBOP is the designation for Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe which Ceylon, like India, uses as a measurement of the grade of tea. This is a deliciously fresh and malty Lumbini Black FBOP tea. It’s got the briskness you expect from a Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and a brightness that will delight you.
Grown: Lumbini Estate, Diyaduwa, Sri Lanka
Organic: No – Conventional
Dry Aroma: Stonefruit, Citrus, and Floral Tones
Tasting Notes: Malty Sweetness, Citrus Freshness, and a Mellow Mouth-feel
Brewing Suggestion: We like this tea best in a teapot when we used 1-2 tablespoon (3-4 grams) of tea first brewed for 3-4 minutes. For gaiwan brewing, we recommend no more than 90 seconds for your first brew.
