This Masala Chai from Prana Chai is hand made and blended in Melbourne from all natural ingredients using an incredibly fragrant blend of 100% black Ceylon tea, Australian bushland honey, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, peppercorns, cloves, and fresh ginger.
All the ingredients are natural and they do not use machines, additives or preservatives to ensure the “Prana” (life force) of the product stays intact.
The whole spices are sourced from many parts of the world including India, Sri Lanka and Guatemala. They blend these spices with 100% Black Ceylon tea and just enough organic honey to bring out the rich flavors and begin the infusion process.
There are no machines, additives, artificial sweeteners, preservatives or added sugar involved.
Serves 15 cups per 250g.
Brewing Suggestion: Depending on the equipment you have available you have a few different options. Prana suggests using nut milks to accentuate the flavor but we’ve tested with regular and half and half as well which were both great.
- Filter Bag/Teapot – Brew a tablespoon of chai (10-15 grams) in 2-3 ounces of water. Steam or froth 5-10 ounces of milk into cup or pot with leaves still in it. Wait 30-60 seconds and strain into cup or remove your filter bag. Add more froth to the top of the cup if it makes you happy!
- Turkish Pot – Brew a tablespoon of chai (10-15 grams) in 2 ounces of boiling water. Steam or froth 6-10 ounces of milk into cup or pot with leaves still in it. Strain into cup with strainer. Add more froth! No, more than that. Yep, that’s better.
