This Silver Kukri is a Nepalese white tea in the Yin Zhen (Silver Needle) style. It is a wonderfully soft but flavorful tea. Its buds are long and slender but smaller in stature than its Chinese grown cousin. The usual honey citrus notes of a silver needle tea is met in the Silver Kukri by the signature muscatel flavors of high grown Nepalese teas.
A lovely sweet and spiced treat you can sip all sweater season long.If you like Darjeeling black teas this might be a fun change of pace for you.
Grown: Panchthar, Nepal
Dry Aroma: Berry Sweet, Honey, Musk
Tasting Notes: Sweet Honey/Hay, Light Spice, Muscatel, Smooth Mouth Feel
Brewing Suggestion: We like this tea best in a teapot when we used 1 tablespoon (2-3 grams) of tea first brewed at 180 for 1-2 minutes. The tea leaves on this slender, thin, and very light, so it may take a try or two to get your favorite method of brewing down for this tea. For gaiwan brewing, we recommend no more than 45-60 seconds for your first brew.
